Children always enjoy making crafts, especially crafts with a holiday theme. Grownups also have the need to express their creative side. Halloween is such a great opportunity for kids and grownups alike to get creative.
Although I stopped going trick-or-treating myself many years ago, I still like to dress up in a costume for when I answer the door Halloween night. (And I don't even have any kids!) And I like to decorate my house with Halloween crafts.
On this page you will find Halloween creative ideas to help you get into the Halloween mood.
Halloween Decorating
Why not decorate your house with some of your own homemade Halloween projects? Go hog wild with the decorations if you want to, or just display a few items if you prefer. Either way, it is so much fun to get into the Halloween spirit.
These Painted Pumpkins are very quick and easy to make. Use either real or artificial pumpkins. (The ones I made are artificial.)
Use orange paint instead of white to make them look even more like Halloween!
Halloween Placecards -- Aren't these great? I think they are so colorful and fun. I made some very much like these when I was a kid - and I still like to make them!

You can use this wonderful special paper for more than making place cards. Draw an entire picture if you want to! The picture to the right shows a freehand drawing I drew using the same special paper I used for the Halloween placecards. (Click the image to enlarge.)The instructions for using this paper are on the Halloween placecards page.
Halloween Ornaments
Ornaments aren't just for Christmas! Decorate clear glass ball ornaments to look like jack-o-lanterns, bats, and spiders! Or how about a Halloween clown? For instructions on how to make these Halloween ornaments, click on the photos or links below.

Here is another Halloween spider crafts ornament. This one is made using a Styrofoam ball, pipe cleaners, and black craft paint.
I hope you think these Halloween arts and crafts are as fun as I do! I will be adding more projects to this page, so please check back often.
